We had another great Bazaar this year with everyone helping out in so many different ways. A lunch of Hawaiian meat balls and rice and apple crisp and ice cream sold out and there was a great selection of baked items and preserves and jams and other items for sale.

The Youth Group Gingerbread party was a great success. 17 Gingerbread houses were made ahead of time by Marlene McCarville and Lynn Griffiths and there were just enough for all the youth who came to decorate. With a wonderful spaghetti dinner and a gift exchange it was a most enjoyable Christmas Party.

Many thanks to Lynn and Marlene and Mary Ella and Allan!

P.S. One rather sorry looking gingerbread structure was renovated by the minister, and with a little prayer and lots of candies it came out just fine in the end!

Karine from Operation Come Home was our guest speaker during the children’s time at the church service. She told us about many of the things that Operation Come Home does to work towards making sure that homeless teens don’t become homeless adults. We presented Karine with 67 Zip Lock bags filled with socks and gloves and personal hygiene items, all decorated with cards by the Sunday School.
